Brid McAuley sent us this latest update:
Continuing on from our Climate Action Course Westport Eco Congregation has continued our Tuesday morning sessions with what we call – Tuesday Climate Chats. In April we were delighted to host a Pollinator Planting course. Our local expert – Pat Fahy gave us a truly inspirational session on the how to make our gardens pollinator friendly. He brought along the must have plants in your garden and gave wonderful advice on how and where and when to plant them.
As we are now in full gardening mode we hosted Chris Smith in May – Chris has been growing herbs for over 38 years. He brought along herb plants to smell and taste and he gave us comprehensive advice on how to sow, propagate and plant herbs. Both Tuesday Climate chats were well supported. We are taking a break for the summer and plan to have another few Tuesday Climate chats in the Autumn.
