Ripple Effect

This Lent Will Your Church Stand with Thomas and Selena – and Care for God’s Creation?

This Lent, your church can make a real difference in rural Africa. Ripple Effect has created ready-to-use resources to help congregations pray, reflect, and act alongside families in rural Kenya facing the climate crisis.

Meet Thomas and Selena — through Ripple Effect’s work, churches can support their communities, helping families adapt to the challenges of the climate crisis. One simple way to get involved is by hosting a Lent Lunch: share a meal, raise funds, and unite your congregation in solidarity.

From prayers and posters to creative activities, everything is ready to use, making it easy to engage hearts and hands. These resources also tie beautifully into Eco Church principles, helping churches live out faith in action for people and planet. Green Christian

Green Christian has a lot of creative material on their website for use during Lent 2026. Visit their website here.

Green Christian recommends a Bible Study – Jesus Died to Save the Planet. One of their members at Green Christian, Sandie Stratford, enjoyed the booklet, Jesus Died to Save the Planet by Paul Kunert and wanted to share it with her church group. So she put together a simple set of readings and questions to cover a five week Bible study. Take a look here and use it as is or alter it as you wish for your own group study.

Climate Stewards

Will you join with Climate Stewards? Their annual Carbon Fast for Lent starts on Ash Wednesday, February 18th. Join the growing community of individuals and churches who are committing to 40 days of action to live more lightly on God’s earth. Sign up on their website if you’d like to give it a go!
