Reducing your organisation’s carbon footprint: A conversation with Danny Chivers

Stop Climate Chaos and TrĂ³caire are holding this seminar on what civil society organisations can do to reduce their carbon footprint. The purpose of the seminar is to bring together members of civil society groups who may be grappling with how to reduce their organisation’s carbon footprint and how to put in place an organisational environmental policy. The seminar will be given by Danny Chivers. Danny, who will be visiting Ireland from the UK, is the lead external carbon analyst for Oxfam, Christian Aid UK and ActionAid.

More about Danny
Danny Chivers carries out carbon footprinting work, mainly for development charities. He is currently the lead external carbon analyst for Oxfam, Christian Aid and ActionAid, and has worked closely with many other organisations, large and small.

Daniel is also a freelance environmental journalist and author. His first book, The No-Nonsense Guide to Climate Change, is published by New Internationalist; and his most recent book The No-Nonsense Guide to Renewable Energy was published in September 2015.  Daniel is a frequent contributor and guest editor of New Internationalist Magazine. He writes and performs environmental performance poetry, and runs eco-poetry workshops for schools, conferences, and away days.
