Latest News from Church of St Therese, Mount Merrion

Clodagh O’Reilly-Boyles sent ECI this update:

The images show our Lenten altar and “Faith Space” installations, which – following our “Season of Creation” and Climate Justice Candle focus – continued the Creation-caring theme, this time with a spotlight on our own relationship with Nature as a source of spiritual nourishment.

In addition to the Parish’s own excellent series of Lenten Zoom talks, and also Donal Dorr’s “Continuing the Conversation” literary exchanges, our parishioners learnt more about Pope Francis’ Laudato Si with Trocaire’s Jane Mellett, hosted by the Theresian Association’s “Culture of Care” initiative.

Members of the Parish will be commencing (April) the Global Catholic Climate Movement’s LSi training initiative, and are considering setting up a parish “Laudato Si Circle” to co-ordinate caring for creation activities. This may also offer opportunity to contribute to LSi’s “7 YEAR JOURNEY”, which is being launched during the final week of LSi Year (2020-21) in May.
