Celebration of seventh Anniversary Of Laudato Si’ – A Prayer Service in the Garden of Wilton Parish on the 26th of May.

The Wilton Justice Group organised a prayer Service in Fr. Tom’s eco garden to give God thanks for Laudato Si.

On a blustery May evening a group of parishioners gathered and prayed in thanksgiving for the gift that is Pope Francis’ encyclical. As well readings from the encyclical itself, there were readings from St. Francis and other mystics.

Surrounded by nature and the beauty of Fr. Tom’s garden it was a joyful occasion with song and inspirational readings and prayers.

Afterwards there was a request that they would make it an annual event to keep reminding all of our responsibility to take care of God’s earth.
