Going Green and Grounds Improvements:

Over recent months the parish finance committee has been investigating the introduction of solar power in the parish.  With completion of these investigations we have employed the services of Lennon Solar to install solar panels, initially, behind the parochial house to supply solar power to the parochial house and the church of the Immaculate Conception.  Work will begin in the coming days.

Wild Flower Planting:

Sixth class pupils from both parish schools will be involved in a project of planting wild flower seeds on parish grounds as part of “greening” initiative which the Irish bishops have invited parishes to employ.  Ground to the side of both parish churches has been set aside for this project and plaques will be placed to identify the area.
