Lara Kelly sent us this report:

The Congregation of Dominican Sisters Cabra was delighted to host the Climate Justice Candle during a very special week in July 2023 – a week-long gathering of over 75 Sisters from the Congregation from around Ireland, Northern Ireland, South Africa, Argentina and Louisiana, USA.

Alongside education, justice and ministry, the areas of ecology and ecological education and spirituality are core to the work of the Congregation and were discussed at the meeting, so it was very meaningful to have the Climate Justice Candle lighting at the top of the room each day. Sisters who had been involved in writing the Congregation’s ‘Green Policy’ took part in the ceremony of lighting the candle and reading aloud a prayer to the earth.
