The Teresian School hosted the Climate Justice candle from the 16th to the 25th of September for the Season of Creation. They highlighted the ‘Shine a Light on Climate Justice’ initiative in their school assemblies for both Junior and Secondary schools. Below are links to the prayers they used in the Assembly.
In their Opening of the School Year Mass:
We bring to the altar the Climate Justice Candle, a copy of Laudato Si and the Global Goals. This year is special because it is the 10th anniversary of the Laudato Si’. In this letter, Pope Francis asked everyone to look after the environment and to make sure that all of Creation is treated fairly.
We bring to the altar a harvest basket, we are celebrating the Season of Creation and honouring the harvest season.
