Tearfund Ireland is part of the Renew our World campaign and is inviting you to join them as they embark on a mission to mobilise and take action on issues of sustainability and climate justice.
The impact of climate change can be felt in every country in the world and the poorest nations are the most effected. They are also the least responsible. The increasing occurrence and intensity of extreme weather events like drought, floods, hurricanes and cyclones drive people from their homes, jeopardise their livelihoods and leave towns, cities and communities in desperate situations. Climate change increases the risk of conflict, hunger and poverty. But it does not have to be this way.
Renew our World is bringing people together from all the over the world to unite our voices in a global worship campaign. This campaign will culminate with the delivery of a song petition representing the voices of Christians all over the world, asking our global leaders to keep their commitments on tackling climate change.
But Tearfund cannot do this without your support, prayers and most of all your voices! So if your church likes to sing and you care about sustainability and keeping the world’s poorest from falling deeper into poverty and insecurity then this is for you!
