Our Parish Care of the Earth Group along with the Altar Society in the Church of Our Lady and St. John set up a display on the Parish Altar for the Season of Creation in September. It was so popular that we kept it on display until the middle of October until it was time to make our Mission Month space. In the display, we included locally-grown plants and flowers, some photographs of local nature and wildlife which were contributed by a member of the Carrigaline Photography Society, some reflections from Pope Francis’ encyclical on the environment, Laudato Si’ as well as some activity sheets for children during Masses and prayer cards.
